• Reading – It’s been an exciting and growing year for reading! Readings this year include new themed compilations and novels. Help your students dig deeper into each work by focusing on its rich literary components.
• Language – There’s still a lot of grammar and composition to learn in fourth grade! This means learning new concepts that are related to the underlying concepts. This practice text provides students with practice on capital letters, punctuation, correcting conjunctions and fragments, identifying all 8 parts of speech, and more. Expand students’ writing skills by practicing the writing process and using checklists for completing reports.
• Writing – Your students will improve their penmanship and creative writing skills by completing weekly enrichment activities that promote thinking, creativity, writing skills, and penmanship. Your students will learn ideas for researching, gathering information, and organizing multi-paragraph essays on history and science that will make them independent and confident writers. Additionally, the book aims to develop character through quotes and poems from historical figures sprinkled throughout.
• Spelling and Poetry – Spelling is an art that needs to be learned and practiced. Weekly spelling lists include vocabulary, definitions, and creative exercises that will turn your students into spelling artists! With larger formats, new artwork, and multi-sensory enrichment activities, spelling and poetry will be popular topics in your class!
• Arithmetic — Your students will practice two-digit multiplication and division, estimating, and writing decimals into fractions. • Art—This homework package includes seasonal projects to help your students further develop their coloring, sketching, painting, shaping, and modeling abilities. Your artist will learn primary, secondary, and complementary colors while creating with chalks and shading.
